It's always refreshing to have a game set in the contemporary real world (rather than another fantasy or sci-fi setting), and likewise great to have one in Southeast Asia, which very much seems an underrepresented region in games.Veterans of the genre will likely not be challenged much, but the puzzle difficulty seems well-judged for most players. It's never frustrating, and the hints do enough to gently nudge the player towards the solution without giving it away.Solid title all around.. Another masterpiece by Cloak and Dagger Games! This is exactly how an adventure should look like. The storyline is great and it includes a powerful message. The scenery is very atmospheric and also shows the harsh truth about today's world. "Criminally underrated" is a phrase that comes to mind.A bunch of people have played the unsettling "A Date in the Park" as it is free on Steam, but not enough people have played the late-80s-teen-horror "Football Game" , or, my favorite, the classic kung-fu adventure "Legend of Hand". Cloak and Dagger makes games that feel like an original twist on a classic formula, all at an extremely reasonable price point! While each game is different, a hallmark of their design is the use of frequent but brief closeups, cutaways, and flashbacks - a device that I think works very well.I am hoping that Sumatra: Fate of Yandi takes off. Clocking in at about 2-3 hours, Sumatra tells the story of a logger who becomes lost in the jungle following a landslide. It's a classic adventure and once I picked it up I couldn't put it down until it was done. The high point is how the game captures the feeling of exploring a jungle with excellent alternating use of music, silence, and nature sounds, and lovely pixel-art animated animal close-ups. It's got everything you want: Damp caves, vines and flowers and bright fruit everywhere, rapid rivers, steep cliffs, mysterious compounds out in the middle of nowhere, the works.I found the challenge in this game to be just right, as well. No unsolvable puzzles, no moon logic.Please do yourself a favor and pick this game up.. Classic point and click game, enjoying it so far.The puzzle is not too hard, which is good for me.I like the story and the writings.*updateAfter finishing this game, wow, the story is really deep.
